Hi fellow earthlings, I’m Petra
I'm an indigenous bruja and tea-loving curandera in training. I love thrifting, hiking, reading, dancing at raves, and being outside with the plant and critter spirits. My favorite animal is the striped skunk, soft, bold, and misunderstood, just like us punks.
After watching Dominion in 2021, I became vegan and never looked back. all animals deserve respect, not just the cute or convenient ones.
Right now I'm studying geography to learn how to better protect the land and all who call her home. I'm deeply interested in embracing traditional ecological knowledge and practicing land conservation and restoration for biodiversity, because the health of earth is the health of all of us.
I've protested fur in Tongva Land (los angeles) and now organize with BAAL on Kumeyaay Land (San Diego). Being in community with people who fight loud and love hard gives me so much hope.
Let's build a world that feels good to be in, for every sacred being.

What do you love about BAAL?
The community, for sure. it feels like soul family. People who actually care and show up for each other. We’re all working toward something bigger than ourselves, with love at the center. Being around other vegans who really get it means a lot.
